The Howell Education Foundation is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization committed to creating innovative educational opportunities for students across Livingston County, Michigan. Our mission is to empower both students and educators by funding impactful programs, scholarships, and hands-on learning experiences that foster academic success, creativity, and personal growth.

Our Board of Directors meets monthly to explore new ways to support education in our community. Educators and community members are encouraged to attend these meetings to present requests for funding and assistance with educational programs, classroom projects, and school initiatives.

Over the years, the Howell Education Foundation has made a lasting difference by:

• Purchasing land and materials to build over 18 homes in partnership with the Howell Public Schools CTE Building Trades program.

• Awarding more than $50,000 in scholarships to CTE and college-bound students.

• Supporting over $2 million in grant-funded activities that enhance classroom learning and student engagement.

• Providing $50,000+ in seed funding for innovative, school-based educational programs.

• Funding Summer Reading Programs to promote literacy and lifelong learning.

• Backing hands-on STEM projects, such as a student-built hovercraft initiative.

• Supplying Elmo document cameras for middle school classrooms.

• Equipping high school photography classes with new cameras to encourage creativity and technical skills.

Through these efforts, the Howell Education Foundation continues to invest in the future of Livingston County’s students—supporting education, innovation, and opportunity for all.
